Benefit for the South Texas Human Rights Center, featuring Mitski, Jesika

The South Texas Human Rights Center is a non-profit, humanitarian community organization that aims to end the death and suffering of immigrants traveling along the South Texas and Mexico border.

On Sunday, May 7th, we’ll be collaborating on a benefit show, where 100% of the proceeds go to the STHRC. The effort is in large part due to – and we’re very excited to announce this as well – one of the performing artists, Mitski! The New York based artist has received massive critical praise over the years with her albums Bury Me at Makeout Creek and Puberty 2, and even played at last year’s Galax Z Fair. We’re excited to have her back and work with her on this event. Also joining the show will be the Rio Grande Valley’s very own bedroom pop genius, JESIKA!

Date: Sunday, May 7 2017
Venue: Yerberia Cultura
Time: 6pm
Cost: $5-$10 suggested donation
Ages: All Ages
Performing artists: Mitski, Jesika, more tba

We’ll see ya here, and likely before then, too.
