Galax Z Fair is a yearly festival curated by the energies behind this very blog, so OF COURSE it’s one of the most misunderstood and majical events in Texas. The vision is to present a night (or nights) of loaded talent, both locally and internationally known (or unknown – usually unknown), to come together for a night of music and art. This past March saw the vision come through as bands, artists, djs, and writers came together to engage fans and one another. It was glorious and the talent on stage was in full view, either by high powered stage lamps or dimly lit black light blulbs.
Another form of talent, though, is often overlooked, functioning in the shadows of a crowd or a dark corner of a stage.
It’s the talent of media and press, those who are their to capture, preserve, and later present either analog or digital memories of the night. Photographers like Ileana Garcia-Spitz, Joe Herandez, Imanol Miranda, and the Analog Avenue crew, as well as videographer Gabriel Elizondo, all exerted their skill and time to this often overlooked realm of talent at GALAX Z FAIR, and we couldn’t be more honored to display their energy here.
So here it is: our favorite GALAX Z FAIR III pictures and videos by the awesome group of individuals who came out to capture the nights!
