Fans, friends, and supporters of creative pursuit, join us Saturday, August 24th at the Historic Cine El Rey Theatre as we present a very special combination live performance + video taping with the regional, now national darlings, Sick/Sea. Fresh off performing a slew of summer shows, which included a festival stop in Oklahoma’s Center of the Universe Festival, the McAllen based indie-pop quartet turn their attention to expanding the scope of their EP cycle for Moral Compass, with their creative lens set on shooting a video for their single, ‘Blinked’.

Here is the track for the video shoot:

While details are still being formulated with the production team, we believe the video will involve stills and clips of the live performance, including shots of the crowds, the venue, and more. So, while the band fully intends to perform a full set of live material, do expect a more enthralling, cinematic, and visual presentation this time – one you can be a part of.

More of Sick/Sea’s music:

Joining Sick/Sea will be regional support from a very young, exciting new band out of Mission, TX that goes by the name of Dandy Heat.

This will be the band’s first performance at Cine El Rey, and to be honest, while we don’t know what to expect, if their live show is anything like their recordings, we’re totally psyched. Check out their style of early 60s influenced era pop rock here:

We will be announcing more regional artists very soon.

Until then, here are the details for the event:

VENUE: CINE EL REY
DATE: SATURDAY, AUGUST 24 2013
DOORS: 8:00PM
MUSIC: 8:30PM
COST: $6

Thanks for the continued support, and we’re looking forward to seeing ya’ll at the taping + show soon!

xoxo
