For the past 10 years, Jitterz Coffee has proven to be one of the coziest cultural hubs in the upper Rio Grande Valley. The locally owned Mission, TX based shop has not only provided patrons with some of the most finely brewed coffee and teas, but has also played a strong role in providing young musicians, writers, and artists with the opportunity to perform and express their original work on the shop’s very own stage on a weekly basis – a true rarity within the cultural sphere of the 956. Melissa Morgan, for example, played many gigs at the shop, as well as Ali Wagner, and a very young incantation of the severely missed emo-punk trio, Remnants. The management behind Jitterz has also arranged for a tight array of other activities for patrons in attendance, including giveaways, fun contests (that celebrate creativity) and more. Here’s a list of said perks:
-Jitterz will have door prizes that attendees get entered in with every $5 purchase; some prizes include coffee beans, tshirts, mugs, free drinks, and stickers.
-For this celebration, Jitterz is offering attendees the opportunity do design their own ‘Drink of the Month‘, in which the winner will have their drink featured for the month of June!
-The event will also feature a coffee mug design booth where attendees will be able to design and keep their own coffee mug.
